THE DIVINE CONCUBINE
Divine has just become of age to take on new duties of becoming a concubine within the Appalachia Clan. She is thrilled with her new role as an entertainer for all the great warriors of her people. But the young prince and next ruler has eyes only for her and doesn’t want her to go through all her training. He wants to be the one to claim her in every way.
Alaric has admired Divine for years now, waiting until she was of an age he could make her his. The rules of his clan say he must wait, but he is young still himself to be taking on the role of ruler and doesn’t want to do it alone.
With the possibility of war with the Sky Clan, he wants to take what enjoyment he can with Divine while he still can. Making her his wife is a challenge in breaking from traditions, but he is determined not to let them stand in his way.
With Alaric taking on Divine’s training, it is harder for them to keep within the rules set forth. Their desires for one another are impossible to contain, and it lands them in some trouble with the elders. But it is not them they have to worry about.
The leader of the Sky Clan has seen Divine and is wanting her as trade. Alaric will not give her up and will take his people into war to keep her. Their advanced weapons are a threat to all his people, but he cannot let her go.
The old King has other ideas and will see them through before risking his people. But to do so, he will have to deceive his son. Divine cannot be the cause of another war for his people. Not if she is to become queen. His only chance is to remove her from the Sky Clan and Alaric.
Divine is caught in the middle. She can’t stand the thought of leaving Alaric but to help her people will do as the king asks. She will disappear, for now, giving up her chance for happiness with the man she loves. But with all hope she will return to him.
If she can learn to survive in a world, she knows nothing about.
