I have grown up in South Alabama, where country living is a way of life. I have a small farm with lots of animals, and I am proud to live a simple life with my family. For eighteen + years, I have been married to the same man, Antonio, and we have four children together: two teenage boys and two toddler girls.

Growing up, I had problems with reading until a friend of mine opened me up a romance book one day, and the lights came on. I started to write poetry and short stories, and though I liked it, I didn’t feel I was good enough to become a writer.

Instead, I worked hard in my career as a business manager until I started her own online business, where it was a tremendous success for me. To be honest, I loved it, and I would still do it to this day if I hadn’t given it up to take care of my mother and a new baby. But something had to go, and since it couldn’t be my family, I gave up my work instead.

Being a workaholic, I needed to find something to do in my free time instead of just cleaning the house and watching TV. So, writing again became my new hobby. Life was too busy for me to do any publishing, so I just stuck to writing my stories for one day in the future.

Three years later, I had another daughter, and she was born with some medical issues. I spent months in the hospital before and after her birth. At this time, my mother’s health worsened and I feel my daughter and I was a big part of it. She passed away just six months after we came home from the hospital. I am thankful at least that she got to hold and love her last grandchild and spent one more Christmas with us.

I gave myself some time to grieve and then; I started to finally look into an editor to help me with my stories. I was editing my first book when I ended up taking in three of my husband’s nieces and nephews. All teenagers and a houseful considering we were still adding on an addition to our house. They lived with us for about a year before going to live with another aunt and uncle. Honestly, I would have kept them with me, but they wanted to return to their old school and friends before graduation.

Now, I am focused on writing again. I still have my plate full with my daughter and her health issues, but I think we have left the scariest stuff behind us. I am coming up on my first publishing anniversary, and I already have five books published. I am planning on two more for 2020.

In 2021, I have a complete series I am working on and is hoping to be able to publish it all within the year. So far, I have six books written to it and am in editing. I feel I have another four to go before completely done with it.

Romance books have always been a passion of mine, and that is what I write. I love fantasy, suspense, mystery, and giving birth to characters that go in them. I plan to dabble in a few romance genres over the next few years.
